Can a Stay at Home Mom Work at Home?

Sounds almost funny, doesn't it? A Stay At Home Mom not only can work at home, sometimes it seems like that's all we do!. I'm talking about housework.

But many moms staying home look for ways to contribute to the household finances. Studies reveal that, if paid, a homemaker will make over 100,000 dollars. Yes, a six-figure income. You can read it yourself, here is the article about how much worth is a Stay At Home Mom.

But we are not paid. In order to get an income we would have to go into some kind of job. There are many options out there, from part time job offers outside the house to those you can work from home.

When you have a job you are an employee, someone else decides how much you are worth. And being in control at home makes it hard to answer to a boss suddenly. For many like me it doesn't seem that appealing.

That's why a home business is the option of a vast number of Stay At Home Moms. You can choose to start from scratch with your own product or join a Company that already has one (or many!) and offers you some advantages right from the start.

What is your main reason to work from home?

  • I don't want to miss a minute of my children but want to make money too

Is Network Marketing a good option?

Designing a product or line of products alone can take a lot of time and effort. And even if you have them, you still need a space, get licenses, maybe even hire a consultant, accountant or attorney.

The benefits of an opportunity in Network Marketing for moms include that the Company you join has all of these in place. It even has the marketing tools (brochures, cds, dvds, etc) and training materials you need. Usually the training is free because it's about leaders helping you to succeed. The system already exists.

You still need to dedicate time to your business if you want it to be successful! From 2 or 3 hours a day to a full-time schedule, another benefit of a Network Marketing opportunity is that you choose your own hours.

Unlike a traditional, in Network Marketing you don't have employees. That means that you work at your own pace without having to check on anyone.

Another good advantage is that you set not only your time but your financial limits. You can make as little or as much as you want. Usually you need a small investment (as little as $100 or $300) that can produce many times over.

The maintenance expenses are not overwhelming, especially once you start making constant comission checks. After all, what business survives without investing?

Only one precaution: Most of us have an employee mentality. We need to be willing to change quadrants (like Robert Kiyosaki teaches) and have a Business mentality. Network Marketing It's not a get-rich-quick plan (beware of those!).

You won't see results if you don't put the time and energy to learn and work. The only sure way to fail is to quit. If you keep going, with the right Company, the right leaders, and the right skills, you can be sure you'll make your dreams come true. Maybe even some of the ones you left in the back burner when you became a Stay At Home Mom.
